Recently complete Myself; Yourself, ef ~ a tale of memories ~, Dennou Coil and Genshiken 2. Supposed to write a post for each of them but let’s just forget about it, gonna settle this with a real quick one.

Myself; Yourself

- Better than expected with its twisted stories. Didn’t expect Sana’s background story but I think it’s just me who’s too slow to realise.

- What’s with the twins?! I dun believe they’re just siblings.

- The “10 years later” thing came in very sudden but at least it ended quite properly.

- My chara: Hinako chan. Yes, loli.

- Scored 7/10

ef ~ a tale of memories ~

- I’ll give it the best romance of 2007. Miyako x Hiro x Kei > Renji x Chihiro.

- Miyako x Hiro x Kei’s classic: Kei played dirty by deleting all Miyako’s messages without Hiro’s knowing causes Miyako nearly went insane because Hiro didn’t show up. But of course Kei has her turn by witnessing Miyako’s sleeping in Hiro’s bed with her own eyes. Ouch.

- Renji x Chihiro’s story is very slow and draggy, but the ending is pretty impressive. I mean the part where Chihiro tore off the pages in her diary, along with her memories with Renji – that heartbroken scene is very nicely done.

- I wish the characters could be prettier lols. Also even though Himura and Yuko are related to the game but I think they’re kinda unnecessary here.

- Nice art. Nice bgm. Shinkai Makoto & Tenmon. Yay.

- My chara: Miyako. She performed the nicest Ed theme – “I’m here” by Taguchi Hiroko. Her version of acoustic Op isn’t bad too.

- Scored 9.5/10

Dennou Coil

- Top notch plots and animation quality. All the mysteries only solved in the final episode and some of them really caught me in surprise. Am I like really so slow or what.

- I like the ‘hair’ episode. It’s so original. Most creative single episode ever, lols.

- Kirabug – Imago – Illegal – Encoder – Obsolete Space – Michiko san – Coil – Metatags – I need to wiki soon.

- All the characters are so lovable and close to life.

- My chara: Haraken, he looks good in megane. Fumie, too bad she didn’t get much focus towards the end.

- Scored 9.9/10, it’s THAT good. But sorry no fan service or whatsover, the whole story is about virtual reality and friends. Okay, maybe slight yuri.

Genshiken 2

- There are just too many Lol elements in Genshiken. Of course Sasa x Mada episode still has the most wtf moments. XD

- The two episodes of Ohno’s gaijin otaku friends came visit from US are very awesome as well. Their seiyuu actually speak pretty good English you see. I’m really impressed lols.

- So there’s definitely gonna be an OVA or something later, since the story hasn’t really end yet. Give me Sasa x Ogi drama fast please.

- Which also reminds me that I haven’t read the final volume of the manga. Gonna read it soon.

- My chara: Ogiue is moe, ’nuff said. Sometimes I feel sorry for Madarame as well, lols.

- Scored 10/10. Best slice of (otaku’s) life 2007.
