Finally the final episode of Honey & Clover is released by Solar. Downloaded and watched. Good and a must watch anime I say. Lemme repeat, it’s a MUST, just call me biased or if you want to. ;P

As an art & design student (on second thought I think I’m only qualified for the later category), I find myself enjoy watching those characters doing the same thing as what we are doing in school. There are many scenes that we can relate so well to ourselves.

Best example would be the part where Mayama is hugging some instant noodle packets while wondering if he should sleep or eat first after his assignments is submitted. All of us went “aww” while we were watching this because we’ve done the exact same thing before. It’s hard to not feel anything for that, since don’t we all love watching how our own situations are being acted out in, oh yeah, anime. Also, I love how they successfully portray many other scenes, both the comedic and the sentimental ones.

Final episode is quite well presented, especially with the long waited words came out from Takemoto kun’s mouth. Although there are many other issues seem to be unsolved, but up to this point I guess it doesn’t really matter anymore. Never really expect that there’ll be an obvious ending for everyone so personally I still quite like how it ended.

Totally in love all the characters in the show (yes all of them are so adorable), from the very evil yet funny Miwako san and her Leader (one hell of weird pet), Mayama’s so called ‘rival’ Nomiya san (*kyaaa!*), Rika san and so on. I know there are people who do not like Hagu chan but I find her quite cute. As for Takemoto, his character basically tells alot of things of his age. I think it’s pretty common that everyone has at least gone through a little or is going through these stages that he has faced, so thumbs up to the studio -  it’s very well highlighted and emphasized.

Honey & Clover is definitely one of the best anime that I’ve watch in these few years of time, something different and fresh from the bloody-gore or some kawaii bishoujo with superpowers at least. It tells some normal (or call it sobby) slice-of-life stories of  a group of friends, how they are having fun and pain while growing up together at the same time.

I’ll definitely rewatch this anime again, some time later.
