Happy New Year

Today’s the 366th and the final day of 2008 – time to conclude the year. Also good chance to start making a new list of new year’s resolutions with tons of unachievable stuff on it for motivation purposes.

Same as last year’s format – first of all, 10 things that I’ve done this year.

..

1. Quit my very first job – my role was publishing websites and the newsletters for regional Microsoft (our client). Kinda understand why their sites are the way as they are by just looking at those.. tools that I’ve been working with.

2. Trip to Singapore in February, solo. A very significant trip – saving the reason for myself.

3. Joined new company + a programme. Met six amazing people through it, probably the best thing happened in this year. Been through a lot of ups and downs together.

4. Bought my first car. Not to mention papa drove it all the way from JB to KL for me on my birthday. *Thanks*

5. First backpacking trip to Bangkok. Listened to Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours for the first time over there. Felt good and I’ll definitely be back.

6. Trip to Singapore again in July. Stayed in a backpackers’ dorm for the first time. It’s a very rushed and short trip yet we managed to meet many people.

7. Got a chance to tour around in JB town – where I spent my primary school days. My tour guide is also my best friend since seven. ;)

8. Attending a Japanese class since August.

9. Trip to Jakarta in October. Quite a five-star one as most expenses are covered. But Jakarta is not a place I’ll go again in short time.

10. Been looking for a direction and actually am still looking for it. Am glad that I’ve been meeting great people through out the year and have managed to learn quite a bit from them.

Before I continue with new year’s resolutions, let’s first check with the previous one:

  • Try backpacking. Probably around SEA countries, anyone? Alone is fine too I guess. - Yes.
  • Lucky Star nendoroids! Even puchi is okay too. - Yes.
  • A low budget DSLR camera. Or at least fix the old one. - No.
  • Continue learning Japanese damn it. Priority. - Yes.
  • Iphone New mobile, been using current one since 2004 or something. – Not Iphone, but Yes.
  • See some people. Priority. – Yes.
  • Marry Toma chan or Ashin sama. Lols I kid. – No!!
  • Plan for more self projects. – I’ll take it as a No.
  • Saving up for Nihon trip. Priority! – Not much. :(

5 out of 9 are yes. Quite satisfying result.

3. Get out of the country and do whatever. Medium priority.

4. At least JLPT level 3. High priority.

5. Watch Mayday concert LIVE. Medium priority.

6. Marry Ashin. Impossible. Low priority.

7. Maintain relationshipss. Medium priority.

8. Take stuff I love more seriously. High priority.

9. A DSLR or a Leica or high end compact. Medium – High priority.

10. More outdoor activities. Low priority.

Allrites, happy 2009 everyone. This should be the last post of the year since most probably I will be out for tomorrow. Heh.
