Like, finally.

Didn’t watch too many, but at least managed to cover the ones that I wanted to follow, most of them are sequels like Clannad, Gundam 00, Nodame and etc. The only new ones are Ga-Rei Zero and Eve no Jikan – that’s if you even consider it as a new series or something.

Clannad ~ After Story ~ #1-3

Didn’t like the new OP, but hate the ED even more – want Dangos back. :( Anyways, continue from the first season, nothing much to complain about the almost flawless animation quality, love the shades of glowing lights effects from time to time. As for the story, it started off with the Sunohara siblings arc: Mei overdosed – but hell yea, her seiyuu made the character even more moe. And Sanae san is wayyy too perfect (okay maybe except her home made buns). Can’t wait for other arcs, getting sick of Youhei soon, he’s best as sidekick.

Nodame Cantabile: Paris Chapter #1

Chiaki x Nodame rabu rabu mode.

Again, the OP is the mehs, ED is slightly better but heye Crystal Kay’s was so much nicer. The first episode of this Paris chapter was quite alright, there’re always laughter wherever Nodame goes. Let’s just hope there won’t be too much of emo stuff in Paris like the impression that the manga gave. And owh yea, there are only 11 episodes for this season – pretty short eh. (?)

Gundam 00 Second Season #1-2

LOCKON!LOCKON!LOCKON!!

Surprisingly the plot is looking very straight forward from the beginning: get all the gundam meisters and crew together, take down the earth federation thingy, while the main enemy is obviously Ribbons & co (?). Tieria seemed to be a nicer person (?), we’ll most probably see his background story later since there are like so many of his “clones” around. The new Lockon is somehow a lil suspicious looking though. I sense a Saji vs Louise in later episodes as well. Overall animation and quality still looking very promising at this point. Nice.

Luck Star OVA

Raki Suta MMO Mode

I miss Lucky Star. They should go on like, forever. My most favourite chapter of the OVA is definitely the MMORPG one which I can relate to it best. *cough* Lol @ Kuroi sensei’s lack of some personal life and Tsukasa’s total blur(noob)ness in game. Love the epic volleyball match as well, just when I thought Tsukasa can finally prove herself.. Besides, for once I think the idea of Kona x Kagamin sounds good, and Hirano Aya sure did a very good job in voicing Konata. Too bad Kona chan got voted out from Saimoe, and I just cast my very first vote to Kagamin (and Fuuko XP) hoping that she can win over Kyou. Well she did win.

Lastly, Lucky Channel should be left animated rather than live action.

Ga-Rei -Zero- #1-2

I thought of Natsuki from Mai Hime when I saw this character. And she’s really a Natsuki.

This girl, Kagura and her rival Yomi, are both love.

Probably this is the first anime that had all of their main characters wiped off in the first episode, not to mention it’s a very solid done episode. Maybe it’s a promo stun or whatever, but it indeed made most people want to follow up with the second episode – to see how are they going to continue with the show. As for the second episode, well, wasn’t bad as well – I totally love the two girls, Kagura vs Yomi, they gave the Blood+’ Saya vs Diva vibes. Also if you’re an Elfen Lied or Higurashi’s heads rolling, arms slicing, bloods splashing fans, this is your anime. Hopefully the plots and animation quality in later episodes can keep up to the standard.

Eve no Jikan #1-2

This is an ONA (Original net animation), total of 6 eps – the first one was streamed on Niconico back in July, and two more eps in Oct, around 15min each. Very nice production, the quality of the background art is as good as Shinkai Makoto’s work – very detailed and beautiful, sometimes 3D-ish. Story is not something very new though, something along the andoroid vs human vs relationship line. Numbers of popular seiyuus are in this ONA: Fukuyama Jun (Lelouch), Nojima Kenji (Okazaki Tomoya), Tanaka Rie (Suigintou/Lacus/Maria san from Hayate), Yukana (C.C.), Sugita Tomokazu (Kyon) etc.

One thing though, I have problems with the characters’ nose – looks odd. The bgm of this anime is kinda weird as well – sometimes it’s so lively to a point that the whole thing became quite creepy. Maybe it’s just me. Will still follow it for the story and nice art.
