So Moe typing game. It doesn’t seemed to have a proper name so I just named it this way.

Not sure how long has it been exist, but I came across this game only very recently through chibi’s post. It’s a song lyrics typing flash game and all the songs available are, yes you bet, anime themes. What I like is the interface of the game: very neatly done, looking very pro and all.

Currently there are about 50+ songs in the database, from the good ‘ol For Fruits Basket to the recent Dango Daikazoku (alright it’s not that recent after all), ranged from level 00 to level 13.

There are quite some down sides though, one of them is the time that takes to load a song, about 1-2mins depends on the length of the song, and of course, your internet connection speed. To me it’s quite a long time + I have the slowest broadband service provider on earth.

Playing: Kimi no Koe, from Shikai Makoto’s Kumo no Mukou Yakusoku no Basho (Beyond the Clouds).

Another thing about the game is, because of the system or whatever, all the “SHI” are “SI”, all the “TSU” become “TU”, “watashi WA” will be “watashi HA”, and etc. So this is definitely not a game for you to learn Japanese – just purely for your own entertainment purposes only.

While imho knowing Japanese doesn’t really give you a lot of advantage in game, I’m quite sure that knowing English does not help at all, even with songs which are full of Engrish words.

By the way, is Caramelldansen’s lyrics supposed to be like that? `_`

It gives a pretty clear analysis of your typing skill after a song ended. I sux at level 08 and above.

There are total of 5 modes, but not making a lot of differences actually, except for the first one: Hiragana mode. Instructions in both English and Chinese can be found here.

Lucky Star - Kagami X Konata

On the other note, Saimoe 2008 has started. The Official site is dead currently, so here’s the mirror. After scrolling through the charts, I couldn’t recognise about 30-40% of the characters, as the result of skipping a few seasons.

Even so, I’m still rooting for Kona chan this year around. No more Nanoha Mahou Girls or Rozen Maiden Dolls please.
