some random anime, yotsuba, things, food & life ね。

This is a WRONG example. You should draw ONLY ONE cross to make your vote counts. Remember. I just couldn’t decide which nendoroid I like the most out of the extremely cute three. <3
..
Few hours before the start of the polling day for our general election 2008, let me just add some oil to the most heated topic in town now – after all this will be my first vote ever – even though we all know very well that which party is going to win.
For the past 13 days, many posters flyers banners buntings billboards flags are hanging almost everywhere on the streets. Some printed with really cheesy slogans and propaganda that you’ve ever heard of, while some are just purely bashing on their rivals, very entertaining stuff indeed. But nothing beats those brain washing emo ads playing over and over again on Tv and radio lor. So much budget to spend one ar.
..
But seriously, no matter how much you’re not into the politics, or you’re extremely disappointed over our corrupted government and their unfair policies – everyone should just carry on their responsibilities to register and vote.
Hell, am just gonna quote the whole thing from aibo’s blog – without her permission, yet. :P
..
“Sadly, I have quite a number of friends who are over 21 but aren’t registered. Mostly because they just couldn’t be bothered. There are various excuses, but all along the lines of apathy and indifference.
“I’m not interested in politics lah.”
“Whether I vote or not also, BN sure win wan. So what’s the point?”
Those are probably the most common excuses. And both annoy me a bit. The second one more so than the first actually. Ahaha.
I was talking about such attitudes towards voting with Joanne once and I thought she put it rather aptly: If you’re not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem.
For my part, at the simplest level, I take the ability to vote as sort of like the right to complain. Heh. If I vote and in the end the party I don’t vote for wins, at least I can’t say I didn’t try. I just feel that if you don’t bother at all to vote or to even register if you are of age and in the country… Then you jolly well shouldn’t complain about the government after the elections are over. From my point of view, by not bothering at all, you’ve just forfeited your right to complain about them. If you don’t vote, don’t complain.
Lianne mentioned a poster in Bermuda that delivers a similar point of view about registering to vote. The main copy reads: Your opinion doesn’t count if you’re not registered to vote. Harsh, maybe, but rather true.”
..
Totally, totally spot on.
If you don’t bother about this place at all then consider migrate lor. Just make sure you or your talent or your bank account is needed by your desired country will be good enough.
Ooh this post banyak emo nih.
..
Anyways, let’s just vote for a change. In my opinion should give at least a chance for the others – or like ying chan said, “A vote for the opposition is a vote for BN to buck-up and improve”. I lol’ed quite a bit, good one there, ahaha.
