Wanted to squeeze everything into one post – short reviews of both recently ended and the new season anime but I guess that will be just too long. I’ll do a roundup of past season(s) here first.

Titles of recently ended anime:

Bokurano, Claymore, Darker than Black, Doujin Work, Lovely Complex, Lucky Star, Murder Princess, Nagasarete Airantou, and Seirei no Moribito.

With El Cazador de la Bruja and Romeo x Juliet ending soon.

By the way I watch subbed anime so obviously it’ll be slower, and as usual, spoilers the cut.

1. Bokurano – The plots has so much potential but the anime ruins it somehow. Another reason why they should just wait for the manga to complete instead of making their own original story. Nonetheless, nice OP and EDs. “Uninstall” (the OP) is very catchy.

2. Claymore – Like Bokurano, Claymore has its own anime ending. Other than that, pretty good animation imo, and the claymores are cool, only Raki is not very necessary. I’ve had enough of Raki (Claymore), Shirou (Fate/stay Night), and Yuji (Shakugan no Shana) kind of characters. They’re annoying aren’t them.

3. Darker than Black – Besides the (another) loose ending, DtB can be considered one of the best among its season. Hei sama is made to win. My personal favourite arcs are Yin’s (loli), Huang’s (unexpected), and Havoc’s (emo). Season 2 anyone? Hei x Yin please, lols.

4. Doujin Work – 12 Eps in total, with 15mins each. Watch and get some laugh, that’s all.

5. Lovely Complex – It’s really funny and all, but just like most shoujo romance anime, the plots are getting weaker throughout the series. Nonetheless Kansai ben banzai. Most of their comedy are pretty good actually.

6. Lucky Star – Awesome.

7. Murder Princess – 6 eps OAV, and because it’s only 6 episodes, so it’s not bad. Anymore longer will be bad. Lols.

8. Nagasarete Airantou – Remember I said the chances of me following this harem anime is low? Well I’ve finish it! And it’s not that bad after all. Quite like its bright and lively tone and those awfully cute animals on the island. Its OP “Days” by Horie Yui is one of my favourites.

9. Seirei no Moribito – I’d like to write a post for this one if I have more time – it’s really good so it’s quite a pity that it’s not as popular as the rest. Impressive animation (fighting scenes), nice art and settings, but more importantly, the not so typical story. Watch and you’ll know. And I really want that OP “Shine” by L’Arc~en~Ciel, why is it not even released anywhere eh.

10. El Cazador de la Bruja – As long as Elis chan kept saying “yes, sire!”, I’ll keep watching. 2 more eps for me to complete.

11. Romeo x Juliet – Also 2 more eps to go but it got licensed and the subbers have received C&D letter. But we all know it probably will get released by some mysterious group somehow.
