Went to AFA held at Suntec Convention Hall last Saturday out of curiosity since I didn’t manage to make it to the last one. No concerts for me though, as I’m not familiar with their songs (have not watch Macross Frontier ^^”), so I thought it’ll be a better idea to just save some money instead.

Anyways, about close to 40 photos after the cut. Enjoy.

Gotta confess that meeting DC was another reason that I went to the event. Not that I am so huge of a fangirl that it’s a must to meet the man in face, but rather it’s because I’ve done one of the designs here so I thought it’d be nice to pay a visit while he’s in town.

Surely it has been great to meet the Tokyo Storm Trooper + pretty ms Alodia in person. ^^

Lotsa amazing illustrations artwork displayed around. This Godsend caught my eyes because I used to have it as the wallpaper for my previous phone (which is now gone ;< ). Simply awesome piece of work.

The girl is Kitta Izumi and the guy is The Mash (Nakamoto Nobuhisa). With the noisy surrounding, all I could hear was Mash’s screaming. ^^”

Plenty of cosplayers this time around and the quality weren’t too bad too. It was just me who was lacking the interest to stalk each of them and just kept on taking photos in the silhouettes for some reason. ^^”

Overall, AFA 09 wasn’t bad at all but it wasn’t too exciting for me either since I don’t really collect figurines (lotsa figurines for sale) nor anime goods (wonder why KKnM has this really long queue when they actually have a shop around) nor I fancy anime apparels (too exotic for me to be worn out ^^”).

I guess the event is more for the anisong concert goers (KOTOKO next year plox kthxbye), Gundam fans (they have the most prominent booth around thanks to 30th anniversary), figurines collectors, and cosplayers. And maybe photographers too, lol.

Nonetheless, yet another otaku experience for myself. :P
