some random anime, yotsuba, things, food & life ね。

I <3 Anisong! Nice balloons deco near the stage.
..
Went to AFA held at Suntec Convention Hall last Saturday out of curiosity since I didn’t manage to make it to the last one. No concerts for me though, as I’m not familiar with their songs (have not watch Macross Frontier ^^”), so I thought it’ll be a better idea to just save some money instead.
Anyways, about close to 40 photos after the cut. Enjoy.
..

The main stage.
..

Gotta confess that meeting DC was another reason that I went to the event. Not that I am so huge of a fangirl that it’s a must to meet the man in face, but rather it’s because I’ve done one of the designs here so I thought it’d be nice to pay a visit while he’s in town.
Surely it has been great to meet the Tokyo Storm Trooper + pretty ms Alodia in person. ^^
..

DC.com + Mirai chan
..
Okay I know the focus is on the Mirai itachari which was gorgeous. Of course, figma Mirai + camera combo were kinda cute too.
..
Black Rock Shooter. She’s so skinny but the whole figure still looking so good.
..

Haruhi gekisou ver. Kakkoi.
..

Mikuru gekisou ver. Now this is moe.
..

Do want. Miku puchi nendoroid special.
..

The nekomimi Konata nendoroid in the middle is what I always wanted.
..

One of the Gundam kits competition work from open category. Nice base.
..

The only Gundam series I have watch so far. Yes, Gundam 00 Raiser. No glowing particles included?
..

Stuff you can get from Bandai’s Gashapon.
..

Mog Mog Wanco! doggy bank.
..

Godsend by Yap Kun Rong.
Lotsa amazing illustrations artwork displayed around. This Godsend caught my eyes because I used to have it as the wallpaper for my previous phone (which is now gone ;< ). Simply awesome piece of work.
..

Photo says it all. Wonder what will Kaname think if he sees this. ^^”
..

Akubi Girl by Tatsunoko Production. Reminds you of PowerPuffGirls?
..

Anime by Tatsunoko Production since the 70s.
..

Looking forward to Summer Wars.
After all, it’s the major work by Madhouse and Hosoda Mamoru san after their awards winning Tokikake. *Hearts* Tokikake.
..

Many partitions were decorated by official anime artwork / posters too.
Are all those sponsored by Odex? Anyways, My most favourite is surely gonna be Honey & Clover which isn’t in the photo. The natsukashii-ness.
..

Animax studio. Felt like I’ve seen this during STGCC earlier this year.
..

Storm Lion’s pretty booth babes.
..

Customers queuing up to dine in Moe Moe Kyun meido cafe.
There’s also this sweet lolita girl selling Harajuku perfumes outside the cafe in her little stall.
..

Weiss Schwarz seiyuus doing a demo live dubbing.
The girl is Kitta Izumi and the guy is The Mash (Nakamoto Nobuhisa). With the noisy surrounding, all I could hear was Mash’s screaming. ^^”
..

This Squall looking dude was singing / rapping the impossible Motteke! Sera Fuku at Joysound booth. Seriously.
..

Looking familiar but I couldn’t tell the character.
Plenty of cosplayers this time around and the quality weren’t too bad too. It was just me who was lacking the interest to stalk each of them and just kept on taking photos in the silhouettes for some reason. ^^”
..

White Chi & Black Chi from Chobits.
..

Name the characters.
..

Sebastian and Ciel from Kuroshitsuji. Sebastian’s shoes is really something.
..

I guess this is Yuuko from Clamp. She looks really good and has some really Yuuko expressions. So two photos for her.
..

Lemme know who these badass are.
..

Hmms.
..

Sheryl and Ranka from Macross Frontier. There are actually so many pairs of them and mostly are good.
..

Group of people just came over from the car workshop.
..

Last picture and I like this one because the girl has some nice natural smile. Macross again?
..
Overall, AFA 09 wasn’t bad at all but it wasn’t too exciting for me either since I don’t really collect figurines (lotsa figurines for sale) nor anime goods (wonder why KKnM has this really long queue when they actually have a shop around) nor I fancy anime apparels (too exotic for me to be worn out ^^”).
I guess the event is more for the anisong concert goers (KOTOKO next year plox kthxbye), Gundam fans (they have the most prominent booth around thanks to 30th anniversary), figurines collectors, and cosplayers. And maybe photographers too, lol.
Nonetheless, yet another otaku experience for myself. :P

I wish people would take more picture on the illustration works. They clearly deserved some good love. That illustration was amazing.

The badasses are Gokudera Hayato (front) and Kyoya Hibari (rear) from Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
The second to last photo looks like a car workshop version of KHR. I can see Chrome’s trident, and Hibari’s hibird.

Thanks guys. But I didn’t design his page to be exact, it was just a mock up of a supposedly “redesign” of his site. ^^”
