Have always wanted to go to Mayday’s concert again since the first and last one I went in 2001 – and the chance was finally here again two weeks ago @ Singapore Indoor Stadium. Totally enjoyed losing my voice to singalongs, hopping, jumping, and screaming through out the near four hours concert. Lotsa <3!

Alrite, I didn’t hop and jump the whole time. It’s just the soul perhaps, hahas. Photos and clips after the cut.

Awesome stage design despite the limitation of the indoor stadium, am sure they could do something even more awesome if it’s outdoor. Nonetheless, kudos to whoever who designed the whole concert concept, flow and seriously amazing visual effects. They’re just spoiling the market and fans, because I don’t think we can ask for generous treatment like this for every other concert, can we. ;O

Also the first time using Yuki chan, aka the Lumix LX3, taking photos at night event. I guess these photos and clips are the best I could get out of it, acceptable noise level and all, except that it seems to have overexposed issue. Or maybe it’s just me.

Another lead guitarist and the father of one, Stone. 石頭把拔也是很厲害喔。

They performed about 30+ songs in total, from all albums. To my surprise, they play quite many older songs compare to the recent ones. Which is nice, ����～

Then we have a drummer and vocalist switching position session. After the session, we all know why drummer Guan You can’t be the lead vocal for some reason. ;P

Then again, surprisingly Ashin plays pretty good drum. His singing improves a whole lot since 8 years ago too, which I think gotta thank to the the strong backup singers, and also all the concerts they had in past years – noticed recent songs are mostly written to perform live.

Never missed to play the usual tricks they always do in concerts: like 戀愛-ing’s L-O-V-E, and the 伸出你的å�³æ‰‹ä¾†ï½ž thing. As lame as it may sound, it’s still a very fun way to get your audience to participate. Or it might be because of Ashin & co (specifically Ashin and Masa) are just too good in talking, everyone will just buy whatever they said. ;D

王�/胖�/陳�學/陳總 aka Ashin is out and about. Talented song writer, like seriously.

Finally Masa the bassist’s turn to solo. Remember last time he used to perform keyboard / piano in concerts. Now back to accoustic guitar, eh.

瘋狂世界 (crazy world). The very first song I heard from them back in 1999. It was on radio and I thought I must get the album no matter what. Only managed to get the cassette after searching in music stores on and off for months. Of course, me also has the CD now.

This concert version is actually much nicer than the original imho, lols.

人生海海 (people life, ocean wild). Traveled 500km to watch their 2001 farewell concert for this song. Used to listen to it everyday during the depressing days many moons ago. It helped, a lot.

志明與春嬌 (peter & mary). Probably their most known song in Taiwanese. I can’t speak a nut in Hokkien but I can definitely do a singalong with this song – totally forgot that I was taking a video which will too, record whatever I sang. Anyways, Ashin walked all the way to our side during the song, too bad the spotlights are so strong that I only get lines and overexposed faces. ^^”

That’s about it. One of the best four hours spent in life.

Maybe I should make it a routine to go to Mayday’s concert every year eh, lols.
