some random anime, yotsuba, things, food & life ね。

Fukuya is located at Jalan Delima, Kuala Lumpur.
..
Went to this Japanese restaurant with family for my birthday dinner – still in my early 20s by the way, yay. :D
Anyways, this place is quite hard to find for some of the first timers, as it’s hidden among the bungalows area, and that tiny signboard in front of their entrance didn’t really help.
..

Teapot~ teapot~ teapot~ teapot~ teapot daikazoku.
The whole restaurant is very zen-ish. Bamboos, private dining rooms, candle lights, wide garden – very quiet. But that doesn’t mean there’s no customer, though – saw numbers of people dining here.
..

Deepfried salmon skin salad. Pardon the blur picture.
Dishes we had that day are all recommended and ordered for us by the lady boss who we knew. The waitresses are nice people too.
..

Sashimi. Hmmmm~
Apparently it’s only recently that they open on Sunday for business, couldn’t remember if it’s only for dinner though. The choice of menu on Sunday is also much lesser than weekdays & Saturday.
..

Unagi to chiri padi maki.
This is one of the best – unagi and chili padi maki. Yeah – a localized dish but the chili padi’s spice matches the unagi just nice.
..

Chawanmushi.
I always love chawanmushi. Normal Chinese steamed egg that we have at home can never be as soft textured as this. Why ah.
..

The very simple looking menu.
Oh yeah, I think they open from 12pm – 2:30pm for lunch and 6pm – 10pm for dinner, if I remember correctly.. I’m not sure how authentic it is about Japanese cuisine since never really had any. :(
..

Kitsune soba.
Totally love the soba – just nice to chew on.
..

Seafood garlic fried rice.
Garlic fried rice with salmon & can’t remember what else, it’s good but too bad we were very stuffed at this point already.
..

Ebi tempura set.
It’s good too but we were almost bloated after the fried rice. And it didn’t have my favourite sweet potato tempura. :(
..

Then we decided to stand up and walk around..
This is one of the private dining rooms. Looks like a great place for some family or company gathering.
..

Good thing the desert is just a simple scoop of melon flavour ice cream. Yum.
..

They even prepare this for me. ^^”
..
They were asking about my birthday wish – well, it’s probably the simplest and the greediest wish I’ve ever made:
Me wish for everyone’s happiness and staying healthy.
